RTV Oost Repo: 400 Overijsselaars op Pelgrimstocht naar Lourdes

Begin mei 2015 gingen ruim 1.300 pelgrims vanuit het aartsbisdom Utrecht op bedevaart naar Lourdes. Voor RTV Oost reisde programmamaker Ina Brouwer mee. De reportages die dat opleverde, werden op maandag 8, dinsdag 9 en woensdag 10 juni uitgezonden in Overijssel Vandaag.

Aflevering 1: 400 Overijsselaars op Pelgrimstocht naar Lourdes

Aflevering 2: We maken onder meer kennis met Sharon Huis in 't Veld en Mia Kogelman uit Marienheem. Zij doen hun maatschappelijke stage in Lourdes.

Aflevering 3: Pal naast de heiligdommen van Lourdes, zoals de grot en de kathedraal, zijn de souvenirwinkels gevestigd. Devotie en commercie gaan hand in hand. Ook de familie Koning wil niet met lege handen thuiskomen. De aankopen worden in een eenvoudige viering gezegend.

Wedding Mass Dutch Prince Jaime of Bourbon-Parma and Viktória

There is unfortunately no video registration of the wedding Mass. Here is some footage of the couple leaving the Roman-Catholic church of Apeldoorn, Netherlands. Jaime Prince of Bourbon-Parma, cousin of King Willem-Alexander, married to Ms. Viktória Cservenyák. (Apeldoorn, 5 October 2013). On 15 July 2014 Prince Jaime became the Dutch ambassador to the Holy See.

In de korte geschiedenis van het Pausschap van Franciscus zijn er al opmerkelijke contacten geweest tussen de Paus en de jongeren van het Nederlandse taalgebied. Deze contacten zijn bijzonder interessant omdat wij ons kunnen identificeren met niet alleen onze leeftijdsgenoten, maar ook met onze taalgenoten. Verder is het hartverwarmend dat Paus Franciscus deze aandacht geeft aan een verder niet heel katholiek gebied.

Drs. Jan Hinke's Ariëns-Presentatie

De rooms-katholieke priester Alfons Ariëns (1860-1928) was de grondlegger van de katholieke arbeidersbeweging. Als één van de eerste geestelijken stelde hij dat het bestrijden van armoede geen kwestie is van liefdadigheid maar van sociale gerechtigheid. Hij ontplooide zijn activiteiten in Enschede, maar kreeg al snel landelijke bekendheid. Ariëns is ook bekend als drankbestrijder. Sinds 1958 loopt er in de kerk een proces voor zijn zaligverklaring.

The 2013's Ad Limina Report about the Netherlands

Here you will find the public part of the general report on the Catholic Church in the Netherlands that will be presented by our Bishops to Pope Francis during the ad limina visit that will take place from 2 to 7 December. The document gives an overview of the state of the Church in the Netherlands, and some of the ongoing developments that dictate current policy and trends. Below you will find also some commentaries.

Here is Pope Francis' first apostolic exhortation called "Evangelii Gaudium" or "The Joy of the Gospel". You can read it in several languages. Below we have added some commentaries by experts.

Reaching out to the world, Pope Francis surprises the world with his second major interview in 12 days, a dialogue with one of Italy's most prominent atheists, founder of the Italian daily 'La Repubblica'. The news paper published the interview on October 1st, 2013 in Italian. An English translation was made available later that day. The interview, the way it has been edited, was not without controversy.

This interview with Pope Francis took place over the course of three meetings during August 2013 in Rome. The interview was conducted in person by Antonio Spadaro, S.J., editor in chief of La Civiltà Cattolica, the Italian Jesuit journal. Father Spadaro met the pope at the Vatican in the pope’s apartments in the Casa Santa Marta, where he has chosen to live since his election. Father Spadaro begins his account of the interview with a description of the pope’s living quarters. In this post we collected several translations of the Papal interview:

Op de Feest van de H. Familie komt de rechtstreekse eucharistieviering vanuit de Lambertusbasiliek te Hengelo. Celebrant: pastoor Koos Smits. M.m.v. het Sint Lambertuskoor o.l.v. Louis ten Vregelaar. Muziek: Missa Orientalis van Gerard Lesscher (Wierden, 8 september 1929 - Hengelo, 17 december 2012), emiritus-pastoor van de Sint Lambertusbasiliek (1978-1998).

Paus Johannes-Paulus II tot de jeugd in Nederland

De zalige Paus Johannes Paulus II was in mei 1985 voor enkele dagen in Nederland. Daarbij stond ook een ontmoeting met Nederlandse jongeren op het programma zoals gebruikelijk bij zijn reizen. Deze bijeenkomst werd live uitgezonden op de Nederlandse televisie en bij die gelegenheid opgenomen op een videorecorder. Het is een uniek document, het is de enige lange toespraak ooit van een Paus tot jongeren in het Nederlands. De toespraak werd vaak door het enthousiasme van de jeugd onderbroken en duurt daardoor relatief lang. Voor degenen die toen aanwezig waren bleef het een fantastische ervaring. Ook nu hebben de woorden van de intussen zalige Paus een blijvende actualiteit. Met dank aan Nederlandse openbare televisie voor dit televisie verslag.
